**About Research, Innovation and Commercialisation**

Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (RIC) is the central facilitator of research funding, industry engagement and commercialisation in the University. RIC provides a suite of expert professional services to enable our academics to achieve global research excellence and support to translate their discoveries into real-world innovation and impact.

**About the Role**

The Business Development Associate is a member of the broader Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) Business Development and Innovation team and reports to the HASS Cluster Lead, with dotted line reporting to Faculty Research Manager and Associate Dean Research (Arts).

The Business Development Associate will be responsible for co-ordinating the successful delivery of strategic initiatives as endorsed by the faculty and as a member of the Humanities and Social Sciences Cluster Business Development team.

Responsibilities include:

- Supporting the delivery of the portfolio of work approved by the Arts-MSPACE Hub
- Conducting market research, analysing feedback from stakeholders and student evaluations
- Preparing budgets and business cases
- Support the maintenance of accurate and efficient record-keeping and documentation for Arts-MSPACE Hub activities

The role will work closely with the Arts Research Team, MSPACE and Business Development and Innovation, including the Knowledge and Technology Transfer team.

**About You**
You will have experience in working effectively as part of a fast-paced, high-performing team, with a commitment to communication and collaboration. You will been a keen problem solver with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You will demonstrate highly developed skills in project coordination, including a strong ability to manage competing deadlines and demands.

You will also have:

- A tertiary qualification (ideally but not necessarily in the Humanities or Social Sciences) with subsequent relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner to broad audiences, both in writing and verbally
- Commitment to responsive and high-quality service excellence across a diverse range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated sound digital literacy and ability to research and quickly assimilate relevant new technologies, concepts, including proficiency in CRM/data management systems
