Strategic Communications & Marketing Manager - Fixed term

Our client is currently on the hunt for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join their team until December with view to go permanent

They are a national education evidence body with their main aim being to generate and distribute research to all state and territories on educational resources and instruction on the best way to put that info out to the specific government.

Our client is working towards excellent and equitable outcomes for all children and young people, they are a not-for-profit company owned by Education ministers and operating under the governance of an independent Board.

**Your new role**

The role is responsible for managing and delivering a complex and multi-faceted communications and marketing function.

Key responsibilities;
- Ensure a strategic, proactive and coordinated approach to communicating key messages through all available channels, media office, media relations, social media and advise on the strategy and speech writing
- Lead an effective media office to promote work and brand including reactive and proactive press and media activity
- Engagement with CEO and external stakeholders
- Oversee implementation of marketing strategy, including newsletters, events and audience development
- Evaluate the success of marketing and communications activities and events
- Lead the performance and professional development of members of a team

What you'll need to succeed**
- Qualified and experienced marketing and communications professional
- Demonstrated ability in managing and delivering complex and multi-faceted communications projects in government and non-government contexts
- Experience running multiple communications and marketing channels, including media management, events, social media, newsletters (EDM)
- Experience managing, supporting and developing staff to deliver organisational outcomes
