**The Opportunity**
This is a full time permanent position, and my client is very open to return to work parents who are looking to step back into the workforce. A willingness to learn is most important
**Position Description**
Reporting into a dynamic and knowledgeable manager who has been with the business for 16 years, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following;
**Human Resources**
- Support managers in writing position descriptions.
- Writing & posting of job advertisements (Seek etc)
- Screen applicants and organise interview times
- Prepare paperwork (including letter of offer/contracts) & schedules for smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with department heads to deliver an exceptional first day experience.
- Assist in the communication, interpretation and upkeep of employee handbook, organisational chart and contribute to policy development.
- Maintain probation period database and ensure reviews are completed prior to end of probation.
- Support and assist managers in undertaking performance reviews, disciplinary processes, learning and development activities and policy interpretation.
- Support L&D initiatives.
**Payroll**
- Prepare wages accurately and on time.
- Lodge weekly reporting to government bodies.
- Maintain pay/employee records, time sheets, leave records and associated information/software.
- Administer superannuation processes and payments.
- Monthly & annual reconciliations for payroll tax, salary sacrifice, Workcover, superannuation, as well as any other authorised payroll deductions (End to end payroll).
- Process performance incentive program rewards, including calculation of relevant bonuses.
- Maintenance of salary data to ensure wage payments comply with awards and agreements.
- Liaise and answer staff queries
**Your Experience**
- Previous experience within Payroll or HR admin
- Micropay experience preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
- Resilient and solutions focused attitude
