The Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment at Microsoft ANZ accounts for nearly a third of the org’s revenue and represents 95% of all businesses in Australia and New Zealand and delivers double digit growth consistently year after year and has the third best % cloud mix worldwide. - DCM Big Bet opportunity and support with Partner Growth, as the sales lead and v-team orchestrator of our data centre modernisation (DCM), efforts through our partner ecosystem in Australia and New Zealand.
The DCM Sales Manager is responsible for the sales strategy, thought leadership, coordination of the contracting, execution and monitoring of a program of transformation with targeted managed services partners. They will be responsible for unlocking opportunities at the point of ‘Migration’ to deliver cross-cloud solutions to enable customers with the Microsoft Platform. This is a critical and highly visible professional who will lead the Migration
- DCM Big Bet opportunity and support with Partner Growth, as the sales lead and v-team orchestrator of our data centre modernisation (DCM), efforts through our partner ecosystem in Australia and New Zealand.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for liaising with Microsoft partner teams in ANZ, corporate HQ teams, and our partners (indirect and direct), ensuring excellence in execution of the DCM program objectives such as to achieve and exceed partners committing to the program, ACR consumption, cross-cloud consumption and usage contract targets. In addition, they will be accountable for providing regular, accurate tracking of project progress across on-boarded partners, risk mitigation, and holding stakeholders to account for delivering results in a timely manner to meet milestone deadlines.
**Responsibilities**:
Many of Microsoft’s customers and partners deliver services and solutions via technology that is hosted on-premises or through a third-party hosting company. There has never been a greater opportunity to digitally transform those services and solutions by moving to a hybrid or entirely public-cloud strategy. The DCM program is aimed at accelerating that transformation, incentivising partners to make the move to our Azure cloud platform and using this as an opportunity to unlock cross-cloud opportunities. It requires a high degree of coordination and discipline to achieve success, so we are investing in a Sales Manager to ensure excellence in execution.
**The purpose of the role**:
- Identifying and recruiting targeted partners to commit them to the DCM Program
- Directly supporting partners already in the DCM Program to achieve their consumption metrics
- Schedule and lead a consistent “rhythm of connection” with v-team stakeholders from project initiation through to conclusion of the contract(s).
- Develop relevant documentation and materials to support the execution of the contract(s) in a controlled, professional manner.
- Own the task of reporting accurately the progress of partners, and the capture and sharing of best practices to increase likelihood of success in subsequent engagements (local, regional and global).
- Developing the sales strategy, how to unlock DCM opportunity across a number of horizons, unlocking cross-cloud and acceleration realisation of ACR.
- Developing the partner strategy with GPS to evolve our partner ecosystem and identify opportunities for growth.
- Significant levels of interaction with the teams at Microsoft and with the on-boarded Microsoft partners.

There will be many opportunities for you to learn and grow into this role and Microsoft. However, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one:
- 5+ years’ experience working preferably, but not necessarily, in the technology sector required.
- ** Excellent communication skills**. This role will interact with a broad range of stakeholders and customers; clear, consistent and professional communication is essential. Communications will be written and spoken, so experience of and confidence in using video conferencing (Microsoft Teams) tools is necessary.
- ** Cloud computing**. Whilst not a technical role, a working knowledge of core cloud technology concepts and familiarity with industry terminology will be an advantage.
