Easy Authoring is seeking an experienced Data Migration Developer to work on a large government project

**Purpose of the role**:
The Data Migration Developer is responsible for undertaking the analysis of datasets required to migrate data into the target system for specific projects and includes contributing to the development of data models and architecture.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Deliver advanced-level SQL Server/Oracle skills and knowledge to support the Data Migration of the TAFE Legacy systems to the new solution.
- Execute Data Migration tasks using traditional ETL tools (Pentaho) and Azure tools like Data Factory/Synapse and Azure Databricks to streamline data migration processes.
- Establish, maintain, and manage Data Migration of SQL Server/Oracle database schemas and environments and build complex SQL, PL/SQL, and Transact-SQL to support legacy data extraction and loading, data aggregation, and dissemination.
- Develop complex SQL scripts to support Data Migration and possess a knowledge of data analysis, data profiling, and data cleansing including cleansing rules definition, data mapping, and data migration execution and deployment.
- Interact with teams in technical discussions, design and code reviews and utilise technical expertise in the requirements analysis phase to ensure the solution is both fit for purpose and use, implementing areas of data migration and analysis to enhance the organisation’s development capability and to create a better experience for the end users.
- Create reports and presentations to support Data Profiling, Cleansing and Reconciliation.
- Support data migration reconciliation activities, issues, and defect resolution, as well as data migration cutover, production verification testing and reconciliation activities.
- Translate technical and complex information into plain English considering the needs of divergent stakeholder perspectives.

**Essential criteria**:

- Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in data analytics, data profiling, data cleansing, data migration, data reconciliation, including the development of the relevant rules.
- Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description
