We are seeking a seasoned professional with robust expertise in AWS Glue, AWS Lake Formation to lead the migration of customers from Cloudera to AWS native data services.

This pivotal role demands strong technical skills and a collaborative spirit to ensure a seamless transition and optimal performance across platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Migration and Integration: Design and execute a comprehensive plan for migrating data from Cloudera to AWS native data services, focusing on Hive Metastore (HMS) and AWS Glue.
  • Data Synchronization and Automation: Build robust automation for data migration and synchronization workflows to ensure smooth integration and minimal disruption.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Partner with data engineers, platform engineers, and stakeholders to drive cohesive delivery and contribute to incident response plans and platform certification documentation.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience with AWS Glue, Lake Formation, EMR, and related services (S3, Redshift, Athena).
  • Migration Experience: Hands-on experience migrating from Cloudera to AWS, especially involving HMS.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, Bash, YAML, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Analytical Mindset: Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Communication Skills: Able to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
