Seagrass Boutique Hospitality Group and The Meat & Wine Co are looking for an experienced **Central Reservations Manager** for our central reservations office in Parramatta. Our restaurants form part of a vibrant, passionate and dynamic national team. Established in 2000, The Meat & Wine Co prides itself in providing an exceptional and unique steakhouse dining experience. The Meat & Wine Co has a unique atmosphere and ambiance which is dedicated to our African heritage whilst still having reference to Australian surroundings. Responsibilities of the role include: - Lead the effective and efficient management of central reservations, conferences and events (including Convention and Exhibition Centre events) in order to maximise operating efficiency in line with company standards, policies and procedures in the achievement of all guest, sales and profit targets including the use of various tools and checklists. - Oversee the day-to-day management of the CRS team, all reservations and liaise with individual restaurants to ensure the booking management in each venue is at capacity and maximised. Ensure to use sales techniques to sell other venues if unable to fulfill the guests first request. - Maintain brand knowledge and current with restaurant operational requirements in relation to reservations management ie, seating times, minimum spends etc - Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with hotel concierge teams, event coordinators, executive assistants, personal assistants, travel agents and corporate members to organise and coordinate the effective operations and service for reservations, conferences and events to achieve outlined targets. - Provide exceptional customer service and communication. Listening to guests in order to understand their needs and offer tailored options for reservations, conferences and events. - Ensuring that all requests for reservations, conferences and events are actioned promptly and recorded accurately, whilst maintaining privacy and protection of data. - Respond to inquiries concerning services provided and costs i.e., for private dining rooms, conference facilities, signage displays, audio visual equipment, menu and any other related services - Promote conferences and events, as well as support with concept creation for events including organising sponsors, artworks, promotional materials, design briefs and menu requests. - Action personalised meetings with potential conference and events clients to discuss their needs and outline package options. - Action to accommodate tour groups, including all related reservations management, ensuring that inbound packages are updated, and translated menus are available within restaurants. - Manage and respond to guest feedback including complaints in a timely and appropriate way in line with company standards, policy and procedures. Elevate appropriate issues to more senior management with a sense of urgency for action as required. - Uphold our loyalty program, ensuring that guests are correctly linked to guest history and both management and employees are aware of any special needs. - Be knowledgeable of the brand loyalty program and provide appropriate benefits to our members. - Lead the Reservations culture to focus on loyalty and driving recruitment of new members. - Action to ensure that marketing promotions and programs are effectively executed. - Create and provide reservations related reports as requested by management. - Review and analyse no shows, cancellations (including lead time), and adjustments. Follow up with the appropriate colleagues/departments as required. - Attend and present at meetings and training sessions when required. What we are looking for: - Sound HSC essential, tertiary certificate qualification in hospitality or related field preferred. Current RSA qualification or the ability to obtain is essential - Minimum three years management or reservations management experience within restaurant essential. - Sound planning and time management skills essential. - Sound written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills essential. - Sound problem solving and decision-making skills essential. - Strong personal grooming, presentation and hygiene essential.
