**The opportunity**

The Platform Lead role is a vital role within our organisation, tasked with governing the development, deployment, and maintenance of our software and systems, to ensure that the technology supports our overall business strategy. As a leader in the Enterprise Applications team, you will develop and mentor a community of software engineers, establish and maintain policies, processes, and standards, and focus on future-proofing our technology choices to create flexible solutions that can adapt to our changing business needs.

You will take ownership of the platform strategy and roadmap and drive continual service improvement efforts with a data-driven approach to reduce tech debt, improve performance, and enable scalability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform meets the needs of our fund and its members, and act as a technical advisor providing guidance, training, and promoting best practices.

**About you**

We are looking for an individual who has worked in fast moving transformation environment and is comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity.
- Lead the strategic planning, development, and maintenance of technology platforms, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure, in alignment with business objectives and a 12-24-month platform roadmap
- Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security of the platform through effective management and maintenance of security controls
- Provide vision and direction for future platform development and act as a technical advisor to our software engineering teams
- Collaborate to ensure platform meets the needs of the organization and its stakeholders
- Share knowledge, coach, and mentor software engineering and support teams on best practices
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to govern platform use and management, keeping our delivery teams current on what is required from them to comply with these
