In this key role, you will be responsible for driving solution engineering with the dual goal of enhancing the velocity and quality of technology-enabled business change, while also improving the stability, security, resilience, and scalability of solutions in production. You will establish an Engineering Centre of Excellence (COE) to standardise and uplift engineering best practices, enhance delivery speed and quality, and optimise the path to production to ensure safe, stable operations. Your role will also involve creating an engineering and digital “front door” for services, ensuring strong collaboration with organisational, project, and transformation stakeholders to achieve both operational and strategic outcomes.
As the General Manager Technology Engineering, you will lead the development of robust knowledge management capabilities, support a hybrid sourcing model for engineering delivery, and drive continuous improvement and maturity across DevOps practices. You will collaborate closely with the General Manager Technology Operations to ensure a seamless transition to production and ongoing safe operations for all engineering deliveries. Additionally, you will be accountable for establishing and leading the Engineering COE, developing the Engineering Plan & Roadmap, and driving cloud-native, API-first, and scalable architectures. If you are ready to make a significant impact and lead ART towards world-class engineering and digital practices and you’re **based in Brisbane (or willing to relocate to Brisbane)**, we would love to hear from you.
