Our client is a high technology focussed end-to-end solution provider for their global Industry. They pride themselves in being one of the first suppliers to embrace an agile mindset, making it its mission to bridge the gap between state-of-the-art consumer electronics and entertainment devices in the “next generation” emerging market.

They are a rapidly growing company with opportunities becoming available across various engineering disciplines (Firmware, Mechanical Product Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Project Engineering). They have recently kicked off a 5-year development plan that will change the international landscape in their area of expertise.

**About the Role**:
**Duties and responsibilities include**:

- Hardware requirement definition and management, flow down from system requirements.
- Hardware verification and validation (Hardware Integration,Acceptance test and jig generation).
- Manage and improve the staged design process of hardware.
- Lead a team of electrical and mechanical engineers.
- Oversee hardware design change management and cost control.
- Represent of the business within the Development Team.
- Organize business acceptance of the solutions.
- Define solutions, tasks and priority in collaboration with the project managers for the successful delivery of commercial and regulatory obligations.
- Understanding hardware requirements and architecture, putting into deliverable work packets for delivery to the project.
- Lead on reviews of detailed design gates against the requirements.
- Estimate to a high-level business requirement in relation to hardware development and provide option analysis where necessary.
- Guide and bring direction and focus to staff across multiple cultural backgrounds and time zones.
- Provide guidance and support to staff to achieve goals in alignment with established guidelines and policies.
- Lead staff with goal setting and their development.

**About You**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Background - Engineer with full product lifecycle detailed design experience
- Preferred Electrical experience in design and testing for EMI and ENV compliance
- Leading and developing staff
- Experience using software for electrical and mechanical design such as Altium and Solidworks
- Experience in working in an Agile framework
- Used project tracking software such as Jira and MS Project
- Commercial awareness
- Leadership - the ability to bring the team together.
- Collaboration - the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams.
- Cultivating an inspiring vision - motivate and inspire people to do their best work.
