**This opportunity**

Manager of Technology Configuration & Asset Manager is a senior member of the Ops Platforms team with ownership of the Configuration & Asset Management practice across the Technology Service Operations Group. A key aspect of this role is developing and executing the Configuration & Asset Management strategy with a clear focus on maintaining data integrity and accuracy through automation and discovery whist meeting industry and company compliance standards.

As the owner of the Configuration and Asset Management practice, the role is responsible for the governance of the practice and delivery of all Configuration and Asset activities internally and across our Technology partners. This includes identifying and driving programs to continuously improve and meet goals and objectives set out in the strategy.

The individual in this role will develop and implement standardised processes supporting a ONE TPG Technology Operations vision.

**Responsibilities**
- Owning and governing processes, policies, and procedures to maintain the integrity of the Configuration Management Database
- Developing and executing the Configuration and Asset Management strategy
- Continuously evaluate the existing processes and procedures to ensure that Configuration and Asset Management is being carried out in the most efficient and effective manner
- Managing the overall health and accuracy of the Configuration Management Database to ensure asset data quality is maintained
- Developing and distributing regular reporting to a variety of audiences utilising BMC Smart reporting and dashboard functionality
- Developing and delivering training on Configuration and Asset Management process with our our MSPs and internal stakeholders
- Working closely with internal engineering teams and the BMC development team
- Developing strong stakeholder relationships with various Technology departments, business stakeholders, and Managed Service Providers
- Maintaining effective communication channels across the Technology and the business
- Implement and govern KPIs and OLAs across the Configuration and Asset Management process
- Ensure Risks/ Issues related to Configuration and Asset Management are being actively progressed minimising business risk for Operational teams

**Knowledge and experience**
- strong background in Data and Service Management with demonstrated experience working in a Technology Operations environment.
- Excellent consultation skills interfacing with Technical and Business stakeholders, and leaders across the Technology organisation
- Service Management work experience
- Solid background in ITIL (v4 Foundations certified)
- Strong background in BMC Helix ITSM/CMDB products including reporting and dashboards
- Experience or knowledge in Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
- Strong experience with enterprise IT environments including hardware and software lifecycles
- Able to smoothly navigate in a matrixed organisation, seeking consensus and buy-in, and holding others accountable
- Experience or knowledge of BMC discovery is desirable
- Relevant BMC fundamentals certification desirable
- A strong understanding of CI mapping and schema, and experience with CMDB modelling
- Experience or knowledge of CI automation or discovery tools desirable
