
Medical Administration/customer Service Support

Our client, a reputable national ophthalmic company committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment for their patients and staff. Currently they are seeking an experienced Medical Administrator to join their high performing team.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Assisting with the overall coordination, documentation and implementation of the Medical Record System.
- Perform all receptionist duties including welcoming patients, answering telephone calls, scheduling and managing appointments, collecting and entering patients’ details, billing patients, maintaining the internal data base up to date.
- Fostering professional working relationships with team members, patients and medical staff.
- Maintaining compliance with organisational policy and procedure.
- Ad hoc data entry and administrative duties and supporting the Practice Manager with the day-to-day operations.
- Opening & closing the practice.
**Skill and experience**:
- Minimum 2 years experience in customer service.
- Experience as an Optical dispenser is advantageous.
- Exemplary communication, time management, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Patient-focused approach with genuine empathy and interest in our patients needs.
- Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Knowledge and/or exposure of Practice Management software Xestro is highly desirable as is experience on other medical software platforms.
- Availability to work one Saturday per month on a rotating roster.
