**Your next career opportunity**
As a Research Fellow on the LINEAGE project, you'll play a crucial role in developing a national governance framework for clinical and genomic datasets in Australia. You'll collaborate with leading experts across multiple disciplines to address emerging ethical, legal, and social issues in genomic data governance. This role offers you the opportunity to directly impact healthcare policy, contribute to cutting-edge research, and help shape the future of genomic data use in Australia.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- **Conduct Innovative Research**: Review existing governance models, develop framework elements, and contribute to the overall design of the LINEAGE framework.
- **Disseminate Findings**: Present research at conferences, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and engage with the public to promote critical enquiry and debate.
- **Contribute to Project Management**: Participate in meetings, flag challenging issues, and support administrative tasks related to the project.

**You may be a great fit if**:
You are a dedicated researcher in a relevant field (with a PhD or equivalent qualifications and experience), possessing strong knowledge of Australian health and privacy law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

**You may also**:

- Possess sound knowledge of Australian health and privacy law, particularly in genomics.
- Demonstrate a strong record of academic research and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Be able to work effectively under limited supervision and as part of a diverse team.
- Have experience in public speaking and presenting complex research to various audiences.
