**About the Project**
Life Patterns is a comprehensive longitudinal study that has been tracking the evolving trajectories of Australian youth since 1991. Through a combination of research methods, the study collects data on education, employment, housing, wellbeing, and family. Life Patterns provides valuable insights into the experiences, aspirations, and challenges faced by young people across multiple domains.
As the study enters its third cohort, it continues to contribute to the development of evidence-based policies and programs that support the wellbeing of young Australians.

**About the Role**
Play an essential role in project execution, from survey development and data analysis to participant management and archiving. You will effectively communicate with the investigator team and stakeholders, provide ongoing support to research assistants, and ensure the smooth running of the project. With a focus on project planning, management, and research, you will contribute to developing strategies, maintaining timelines and budgets, and supporting the publication of impactful findings.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining tools for documenting all research activity and contributing to the development of the project's strategic plan
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and data integrity while coordinating communication and providing support to the research team
- Contributing to data collection, analysis, publications, and the dissemination of project findings through various forms of communication including presenting at conferences

**Who We Are Looking For**
You bring exceptional analytical and academic writing skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with fellow researchers. You are comfortable making independent judgments to guide your work while also thriving in a team environment. Your knack for thinking outside the box and navigating ambiguity enables you to contribute effectively to a dynamic research setting. With keen attention to detail, you ensure accurate data collection and analysis, and your initiative drives you to actively shape the research agenda. Your collaborative spirit and experience in producing conference and seminar papers, along with a strong track record of original and independent research, are evidenced by your publication record in high-impact, internationally esteemed peer-reviewed journals.

You also have:

- A PhD in Sociology of Youth, or in Education
- Previous experience managing qualitative and quantitative research projects
- Experience in report writing
