Product Manager Insurance

We are looking for an experienced delivery focused **Product Manager Insurance **to join our passionate Wealth Tribe within the Retail Bank of Australia’s most recommended bank, which for you means the chance to gain enormous exposure and make your mark at ING

In this highly visible role, you’ll have experience in direct sold General Insurance and will work with business partners to deliver products and services. You’ll focus on the customer lifecycle from customer value proposition, business case, defining MVPs, customer acquisition, on-boarding and retention, optimisation of marketing, reporting and customer experience and managing the risk and profitability of ING insurance products.

You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy developing product propositions and enhancing customer experience to deliver value to the customer and achieve business goals. This role will give you the chance to use your negotiation and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation, while representing ING’s general insurance products to internal and external stakeholders and will work to continually to improve the end to end customer experience.

**What are you going to do? You will be**
- Representing the voice of the customer, having a strong vision on customer acquisition and retention strategy and the end to end customer journey, continuously focusing on improving the customer benefits ING offers and the key moments of truth for customers
- Managing the governance of the insurance operations through working closely with the general insurance partner, including monitoring and optimising processes and procedures and managing service levels
- Supporting the development and ongoing implementation of a Joint Business Plan with ING’s general insurance partner
- Acting as the sign-off point for insurance related activities across the business, including process reviews, forms, T&C’s, collateral, product questions, exceptions and escalations, vendor SLAs, website updates and legislative changes
- Delivering reporting and mitigating product risks and product requirements relating to the customer, supplier and regulatory obligations across all aspects of risk (financial & non-financial)

**What are we looking for? Someone who has**
- Demonstrated experience managing insurance products and the end to end customer journey
- Ability to drive change to deliver both value and best practice customer experience
- Experience in reviewing and optimising product processes and procedures
- Ability to prepare or analyse financials for the purpose of monitoring profitability and overall performance
- A risk management focus and a working knowledge of business controls and risk mitigation
- Experience in the Agile way of working, engaging with technical squads and organising work in sprints
- Experience in working with external partners, governance and managing vendors
- Up to date knowledge of industry developments and competitor product offerings
