Are you an experienced insurance or product professional with a passion for improving member outcomes in superannuation? This is a rare opportunity to join a purpose-driven fund and play a central role in managing and evolving its group insurance offering.

This permanent position sits within a dynamic Strategy team, reporting to the Executive Manager, Strategy and Product, and offers the chance to lead both operational delivery and strategic transformation of a key member benefit.

About the Opportunity

In this role, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day and long-term performance of a comprehensive group insurance product. You'll shape product design and delivery, manage insurer relationships, lead reform initiatives, and ensure regulatory and trustee compliance - all while enhancing value for members.

This is a broad, influential role that combines elements of product management, governance, analytics, and transformation across a collaborative cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the strategic management of group insurance offerings across the fund
- Collaborate on product design, reform delivery, and strategic initiatives
- Manage insurer relationships, pricing, contracts, and product performance reviews
- Ensure regulatory compliance and trustee obligations are met
- Generate insights using product and claims data to improve member outcomes
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to improve the member experience (e.g. onboarding, claims process)
- Lead or contribute to training, internal communications, and governance reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes
- Support the fund's broader product transformation agenda

What You Bring

- 3+ years' experience in group insurance, superannuation, or financial services
- Strong understanding of insurance product lifecycle and related regulatory frameworks (APRA, ASIC, SIS Act, disclosure obligations)
- Experience working with insurers, fund administrators, and internal strategy or compliance teams
- Proven ability to manage product strategy and/or transformation projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports for committees or boards
- Bachelor's degree in business, law, commerce, or finance (required)
- RG146 accreditation (desirable)
