About the Team
SSI was chosen as one of six organisations for The Home Care Workforce Support Program. Funded by the Australian Department of Health, the program is helping senior Australians to remain at home by growing the personal care workforce. SSI is delivering the program in NSW and the ACT with support from member organisations.

**We are helping to develop and enhance aged care by**:

- highlighting the aged care industry as a rewarding and diverse long-term career path.
- promoting training and support opportunities for new recruits and others who wish to upskill.
- supporting new recruits to navigate and access training opportunities.
- providing virtual mentoring and career guidance support to students undertaking training
- linking trained personal carers to job vacancies in the home and community care sector.
- providing advice and training to the aged care industry on recruitment strategies and how to maintain a diverse workforce.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Business Development Lead, this role is responsible for the support of the major Home Care Workforce Support Program initiatives. This role is based in the Business Development function and will work across a range of operational functions including Support Services, Business Development, Community and Stakeholder Engagement teams, Registered Training Organisation teams, Marketing teams, and liaises with Business Partners, Legal services, including events. The position oversees a team of Support Service Officers, Business Development. The team supports a broad range of activities and requires leadership capabilities across relationship management, stakeholder engagement, writing and presentation skills, influencing skills, communication skills and external promotions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Developing and implementing the student support framework and approach.
- Supervising and supporting the work of Support Services Officers in the Business Development team.
- Supporting the retention of new personal care workers in the sector with a range of retention strategies, including mentoring and peer support programs.
- Ensuring quality of service provision by the Support Services Business Development team.
- Overseeing the planning and deliver client-focused activities including workshops, events, conferences, and social functions.
- Coordinating research and data collection to inform Business Relationship Leads work to support HCPs in recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce.

- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
- High level interpersonal skills
- Adept ability to set priorities, plan, meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Highly developed organisational and planning skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Adaptable, flexible and agile

**Desirable**:

- Experience using Salesforce
- Relevant industry experience and knowledge is highly regarded
