This position is responsible for providing technical advice and the provision of information technology desktop support and services to all systems and users. **ICT Systems Officer** **Location - Jarrahdale Serpentine** **Hours - Full time 38 hours** **Start date - ASAP** **Finish date - 6 weeks** **Rate of pay - Happy to negotiate dependant on experience** **Position Summary**: This position is responsible for providing technical advice and the provision of information technology desktop support and services to all systems and users. **Position Responsibilities** - Knowledge and ability required to support telecommunication technology and systems. - Knowledge and ability used to support and maintain operating systems and utilities and to provide direct user support. - Abilities used to plan, organise, evaluate and be responsible for quality of own work and contractors. - Knowledge and ability used to support the Senior ICT Systems Administrator as required. - Sound knowledge of operation, installation and maintenance of personal computer-based software, computer operating and network systems, particularly Microsoft Products. - Extensive knowledge of Information Technology and telecommunications practices and trends. - Ability required to relate to customers at all levels within the organisation in a professional, timely and customer focussed manner, with an emphasis on clear communication and customer feedback. - Good communication skills will be used to provide verbal and written information to customers that is correct, factual, timely, customer focused and in accordance with relevant Regulations, Policies and Procedures. - Makes recommendations to the Senior ICT Systems Administrator on improvements, to ensure an effective, accurate, cost-effective service given to the customer. - Provide support and services. - Provide an effective and efficient IT support to all users. **Essential Criteria** - Possession of relevant qualifications and or experience, minimum of 3-5 years' experience. - Demonstrated experience working and providing IT helpdesk support and service, and IT processes. - Sound time management, prioritisation and initiative are essential. - Excellent customer services and communication skills. - "C" class driver's license. **Desirable Criteria** - Previous experience working within Local Government. - Previous Content Manager and Technology One experience. - An understanding of ITL (certification well regarded but not required).
