The HMC Group has extensive aviation, tourism, and accommodation operations in some of the most iconic regions of Australia and is seeking to appoint ICT Manager

The HMC Group currently has offices in Perth, Kununurra, Broome, Karratha, and Adelaide, and has an expanding team of approximately 400 employees, with further and substantial business growth forecast over the next five years.

About the role:

As an excellent communicator and self-starter, you will be responsible for shaping and executing a group-wide ICT strategy and proactively engage with the business to drive the delivery of the existing ICT roadmap. Your ability to manage change and work effectively with others means you will be able to manage the initiatives through to completion.

You are a good project manager, prioritising new requirements, system and capability rollouts as well as being proficient in resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Drive the implementation of a strategic ICT Roadmap across the Group
• Demonstrated solution design capability, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective ICT solutions
• Mentor and lead the ICT shared services team
• Combine strategic foresight with hands-on technical expertise
• Drive digital transformation including cloud migration and automation
• Oversee deployment and optimisation of Microsoft 365, Azure, VoIP, and e-commerce platforms
• Ensure high availability and performance of ICT systems across all locations
• Implement robust cybersecurity frameworks and ensure compliance with data protection laws
• Apply ITIL best practices for service delivery and change management
• Manage IT assets, software licencing, and infrastructure lifecycle
• Oversee ICT support to ensure high quality support services across all departments and manage escalations
• Ability to build strong vendor relationships and management
• Manage ICT budgets and deliver cost-effective solutions
• Report to executive leadership and the Board on ICT strategy and regulatory developments

About you:

• Minimum 7 years of professional ICT experience, including team and project management
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field is preferred
• Proven leadership in managing cross-functional ICT teams and multi-site operations
• Expertise in cloud computing, enterprise collaborations tools, and cybersecurity
• Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Solid IT operations experience with ITIL certification
• In-depth understanding of IP networks and system integrations
• Sound knowledge of cyber risks and effective mitigation strategies
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies including Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune
• Ability to travel to the Group's bases for time-time.
