Hudson is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Intelligence Officer to join a dynamic team for a large organisation. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in establishing and enhancing our intelligence capability for biosecurity activities. You will identify opportunities to strengthen compliance with relevant legislation and drive improvements in biosecurity practices.

As a Principal Intelligence Officer, your responsibilities will include:

- **Data Analysis and Interpretation**: Utilize various tools to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data related to biosecurity regulation and compliance. Identify needs and opportunities for improvement.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with various organizations to share intelligence and coordinate efforts effectively.
- **Intelligence Capability Development**: Assist in creating a centralized intelligence capability. Oversee the full intelligence cycle (direction, collection, analysis, and dissemination) to relevant stakeholders.
- **Strategic Guidance**: Provide strategic advice based on intelligence findings to support decision-making processes and long-term planning.
- **Reporting**: Prepare comprehensive reports on intelligence findings, trends, and recommendations. Present these reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
- **Compliance and Ethics**: Ensure all intelligence activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- **Tool and Methodology Evaluation**: Evaluate the effectiveness of intelligence tools and methodologies. Implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of operations.
- **AI and ML Integration**: Support the uplift of intelligence capabilities and processes to foster an insights-driven culture incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
- **Project Development**: Collaborate on intelligence projects from ideation to design, including project documentation, plans, requirements specifications, and testing.
- **Training and Mentoring**: Train, coach, and mentor team members in the use of intelligence, data, and analytics to contribute to our continuous improvement culture.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Proven experience in intelligence analysis, biosecurity, or a related field.
- Strong ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience in overseeing the intelligence cycle and providing strategic guidance.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Strong project management skills, including documentation and planning.
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor team members.
