**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Helping with matching purchase orders (PO) to invoices and investigating discrepancies
- Generating creditor and intercompany payments
- Generate, validate and execute payment runs
- Verifying invoices using the OCR invoice system
- Developing and enhancing relationships with customers and stakeholders within the business
- Working closely with colleagues and management to resolve any PO or invoice queries

**Who you are**:

- You are looking at stepping into a junior accounts payable role in a high-volume AP environment
- Must be customer-centric, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike
- Trained in using analytical skills and natural ability to solve problems to great effect in this role
- Timeliness and organisation are key in this role, that means knowing what to prioritise and having a clear sense of urgency
- You’ll be a great communicator, with the ability to engage and inform
- You have the ability to work independently, to make decisions and/or escalate where necessary
- You’ll be tech savvy and not afraid to jump in and learn new systems (we use FinOps, so any experience with this would be advantageous but not essential)
- Tertiary qualifications in a finance or accounting field would be advantageous but not essential
- Whilst experience in the waste arena is a nice to have, more important to us is the drive, motivation and resilience required to succeed in a high growth, dynamic environment
