**About Us
The Transport Network Security and Resilience (TNSR) Branch has a state-wide focus on the coordination of TMR's emergency management and transport security framework contributing to assurance, insight, and advice to enhance the security and resilience of the Queensland transport network and systems for everyone.

The Transport Security team guides and supports TMR to enhance its security posture and culture through a protective security framework.

The Transport Security team enables TMR to undertake its roles and responsibilities under relevant Acts, Regulations and Arrangements.

About the role
The purpose of the Advisor (Security Regulation & Capability) is to identify, analyse, report, and develop outcomes to support the Transport Security Program of Work which includes:

- Administration of the Transport Security (Counter-Terrorism) Act 2008.
- Facilitation of a Transport Precinct Security Program
- Assistance and coordination to support the objectives of the Intergovernmental Agreement on Surface Transport Security and the Queensland Counter-Terrorism Strategy.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Manage assigned projects and tasks to ensure quality outputs are delivered within predetermined timeframes, in accordance with approved scope, performance indicators and quality standards.
- Collaborate, facilitate, and coordinate collective efforts across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve and build organisational resilience across a range of security threats and risks.
- Provide professional and timely advice to senior management or customers on protective security related issues, policy, strategies, systems, and processes.
- Support broader team objectives, across Transport Security and TNSR.
- Other accountabilities and tasks as reasonably directed.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
- Standard hours of work for the position are 36.25 hours per week. The incumbent may be required to work outside standard working hours and on-call as required due to the nature of the business.
- The availability to contribute to the roster to perform the 24/7 watch function and advisory/liaison function.
- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
- The recommended applicant will be required to disclose any serious disciplinary action taken against them in public sector employment.
- Current Queensland Driver's Licence.

Desirable qualifications and conditions
- A Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis and/or relevant experience will be highly regarded but not essential.
