A Government organisation is currently seeking an experienced and skilled HR specialist to join their team. As an HR Advisor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality HR support and advice to the department and its employees.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process all appointments, movements, and separations for all employees.
- Implement quality control processes.
- Provide advice to managers and employees on entitlements and policies, systems, and processes.
- Prepare a range of standard and ad hoc reports.
- Identify, develop, and implement new processes and systems to efficiently undertake operational activities, with a focus on creativity, innovation, and the use of technology.
- Maintain a knowledge of the legislative and industrial framework within the Queensland public sector, including sector-wide policies and directives.
- Undertake records management processes using electronic document management systems.
- Develop and maintain procedure manuals and work instructions on operational processes.
- Support the Senior Advisor, Principal Advisor and the Manager in undertaking projects as required.
- Contribute to a change management and performance development culture across the unit.

Key Criteria:

- A bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor in a similar role, preferably in a government or public sector organization.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with managers and staff at all levels.
- Experience in managing complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
