As a Medical Receptionist, you'll be at the heart of our patient experience, creating a warm and welcoming environment.

Our clinics in Werribee are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team on a casual basis, working rotating hours, Monday to Friday between 6.30am and 9.30pm. Must be able to work Full Time hours for the first three weeks of training.

**Role Overview**: As a Casual Medical Receptionist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your responsibilities will include:

- Patient Interaction:

- Greet patients and other callers professionally and courteously.
- Assist patients with appointment scheduling.
- Explain intake forms to new patients.
- Administrative Tasks:

- Manage medical records confidentially and efficiently.
- Process patient payments (cash, Eftpos, direct billing).
- Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC, DVA and Workcover.
- Maintain a tidy reception waiting area.
- Collaboration:

- Work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Communicate with referring doctors and hospital staff courteously.
- Fill in the roster when staff are on annual or sick leave.
- Ensure accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records.
- Confidentiality:

- Maintain patient personal and financial information confidentiality.
- Complete recalls and follow privacy protocols.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Prior experience working as a radiology receptionist will be highly advantageous but not essential.
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills (knowledge of medical software and Microsoft Office Suite).
