This role leads a program that will be responsible for delivering a place based
collaborative approach to the design, development and management of our town and
village centres and key place precincts. Ensuring achievements of social, economic
and environmental outcomes in a well-planned and integrated manner.

The position will be responsible for establishing robust and enduring partnerships with
key stakeholders both internally and externally and building knowledge on the needs
and priorities of our town and villages centres or other key precincts.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- **

Support and facilitate the creation of vibrant, well-designed and managed places;
- Liaise with Chambers of Commerce and Township Associations and forge

community partnerships to build Council’s internal knowledge on town and village
centres including their specific needs and priorities;
- Act as the first point of contact for all town and village matters both internally and
externally;
- Strengthen the liveability and vibrancy of towns and place precincts through a place
based planning approach;
- Work collaboratively to raise the profile of our towns and villages seeking to
improve their social and economic well-being through the delivery of key initiatives,
while ensuring the town or precincts distinctive qualities and identity is maintained
and sense of pride strengthened;
- Provide specialist area knowledge for our towns and villages and advocated on
their behalf; and
- Build networks with key governmental and community partners to enact change in
our towns and villages improving their liveability and viability.

manufacturer's instructions), and any personal protective equipment, which the
Council deems necessary and has provided; be safety aware and report any actions
to your line manager which will assist the Council to meet its legal workplace health

required at all times to comply with Councils Asbestos Management Plan and Policy.

**Compliance & Risk**
You are responsible for ensuring that you conduct your risk management
responsibilities as described in council's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Policy
and Procedure (the ERM Framework) with the goal of ensuring that potential issues
are identified and reported in a timely manner. In undertaking your work should you
identify contaminated land or potentially contaminated land, including but not limited
to asbestos contamination you are required to notify your supervisor immediately.

**COMMUNICATION**
The position requires highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal,
written, presentation and conflict resolution skills) and with proven ability to liaise and
