**About Dolly's Dream**

Dolly’s Dream was created by Kate and Tick Everett following the tragic loss of their 14-year-old daughter, Dolly, to suicide, after ongoing bullying. Kate and Tick’s goal is to prevent other families walking this road.

They want to change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.

**Position in context**

Reporting to the Dolly’s Dream Program Manager, the School Engagement Coordinator is a member of the Dolly’s Dream Team.

The role is formally based in the Dolly’s Dream and Alannah & Madeline Foundation office in South Melbourne. However, this role will primarily involve travel to schools within the states of Victoria, with occasional travel to New South Wales & Queensland. To be successful in this role you must reside in Victoria.

The School Engagement Coordinator will travel to schools in remote, rural, and regional parts of Victoria, New South Wales & Queensland facilitating Dolly’s Dream workshops.

The School Engagement Coordinator will manage the bookings and scheduling for all Dolly’s Dream programs.

We support our staff to work flexibly, both in location and hours, based on the premise that work will remain the focus of any arrangement. How and where you work is discussed with each staff member based on individual circumstances, role requirements and accountability for delivery of high-quality work.

The School Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting the team to deliver our program strategy.

**Major job responsibilities**
- Work with the full range of Australian schools in building awareness of Dolly’s Dream funded activities to assist with the prevention of bullying.
- Deliver face-to-face and virtual workshops to students, parents, and teaching staff, introducing programs, providing support, and promoting behaviour change around bullying. Includes travel to schools in Victoria, NSW & QLD. (Training provided)
- Regularly communicate with Australian schools via promotion campaigns, telephone, online, and face-to-face meetings to promote Dolly’s Dream resources to assist with the prevention of bullying.
- Be responsible for communication planning and providing appropriate communication materials for Australian schools, while managing the bookings and scheduling for all Dolly’s Dream programs. (Training provided)
- Provide Mental Health First Aid Training to teachers and selected communities. (Training Provided)
- Develop long-term relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and organisations.
- Contributing positively to the Foundation’s culture of - We are stronger together -through developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with colleagues.Other tasks as directed by Dolly’s Dream Program Manager, Head of Dolly’s Dream and Executive team.

**Knowledge, experience & requirements**
- Experience in education or a school setting (essential)
- A qualification in education (desirable)
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in executing projects or initiatives either in the non-profit, corporate, consulting, or public sectors (essential).
- Previous experience in delivering social change projects; frameworks or initiatives in the education sector to a high level (essential).
- Excellent presentation and communication skills to conduct training, presentations, and facilitate workshops with schools (essential).
- Knowledge of contemporary online safety and digital inclusion issues and how they impact children/ young people and society (highly desirable).
- Knowledge of and experience in the Australian education sector, preferably in (highly desirable).
- Knowledge of and experience in using Dynamics 365 (desirable)
- High level project management and organisational skills; demonstrated ability to analyse data, build reports and plans, and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
