**Role**:
- Leading teachers will be highly skilled classroom practitioners and undertake leadership and management roles commensurate with their salary range. The role of leading teachers is to improve the skill, knowledge and performance of the teaching workforce in a school or group of schools and to improve the curriculum program of a school.
- Typically, leading teachers are responsible for coordinating a number of staff to achieve improvements in teaching and learning which may involve the coordination and professional support of colleagues through modelling, collaborating and coaching and using processes that develop knowledge, practice and professional engagement in others.
- Leading teachers are expected to lead and manage a significant area or function within the school with a high degree of independence to ensure the effective development, provision and evaluation of the school's education program.
- Leading teachers will be expected to make a significant contribution to policy development relating to teaching and learning in the school. A leading teacher has a direct impact and influence on the achievement of the school goals.
- Leading teachers are usually responsible for the implementation of one or more priorities contained in the school strategic plan.

**Instructional and Educational Leadership**
- Coach a group of staff in relation to the College¿s Annual Implementation Plan and Strategic Plan in alignment with whole school professional learning.
- Oversight of Academic Performance (Learning Tasks & Exams)
- Leadership of staff to embed best practice teaching and learning
- Role in supporting the top performing students or associated initiatives including implementation of high-performance program
**Transition Coordination**
- Develop and oversee transition programs for students entering Year 7, including orientation days, information nights, and student support sessions.
- Collaborate with feeder primary schools to gather relevant student data and ensure a smooth academic and social transition.
- Support students transitioning from Year 9 into the senior school through pathways planning and curriculum advice.
**Enrolment Management**
- Represent the school at enrolment events and community forums.
- Ensure compliance with departmental or regional enrolment policies and procedures
**Timetabling**
- Develop and manage the Junior School timetable in collaboration with school leaders, ensuring optimal learning conditions.
- Allocate classes efficiently to support curriculum delivery and student wellbeing.
- Adjust timetables as needed in response to enrolment numbers, staffing changes, or program adjustments.
**Marketing and School Promotion**
- Contribute to the school¿s marketing strategy with a focus on promoting Years 7¿9 programs and achievements.
- Coordinate Open Nights, school tours, website, newsletters, and social media content relevant to the whole School.
- Build positive relationships with families, local primary schools, and community groups to enhance the school¿s profile.
**Student Wellbeing and Engagement**
- Monitor and support student attendance, engagement, and behaviour in Years 7¿9 alongside House Leaders.
