My client is a rapidly expanding Australian-owned transportation company, which is increasing its commercial footprint and will become the second-largest carrier of its kind in Australia this year.

**About the position**

In the newly-created role of ER/IR Manager, you will provide specialist advice and guidance to internal stakeholders regarding the prevention and resolution of grievances, union consultation, performance management processes, employment legislation and award provisions and wage negotiations.
- Lead workplace investigations, disciplinary outcomes, performance management and employee grievance processes.
- Undertake research to provide information on current industrial issues.
- Monitor organisational change processes and provide proactive advice to managers and employees to mitigate the risk of industrial disputes and ensure compliance with organisational policies.
- Advise and train managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies.
- Represent the organisation in contract negotiations, meetings, and negotiations with employee and labor organisations.
- Ensure that policies and procedures, are compliant with all relevant workplace relations laws.

**About you**
- Minimum five years’ experience in an ER and/or IR Management position in a commercial environment.
- Tertiary Qualifications in Employee Relations, Human Resources or a related field.
- Thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning labor relations.
- Thorough understanding of negotiation techniques.
- Thorough understanding of dispute resolution and compensation administration.
