EQUANS is currently looking for an experienced ER-IR Specialist to join the team full time in our Brisbane office. Reporting to the Head of HR, the ER-IR Specialist will be responsible for providing expert advice and solutions to internal clients in relation to all ER matters and partnering with senior leaders in managing complex ER issues.
- Role overview_
- Manage the negotiations and implementation process of all Company Enterprise Agreements including leading discussions with unions in conjunction with relevant stakeholders when negotiating new agreements
- Providing analytical, interpretative information and advice as to the financial and legal impact of changes to Enterprise Agreements during negotiations
- Managing potential industrial issues and discussions with Unions as required
- Develop close working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a consistent, coordinated approach to employee relations matters are implemented across the company
- Identify trends and potential ER issues that could impact the Company and design proactive interventions and solutions
- Assist the broader HR team in the implementation of HR initiatives and projects company wide
- Manage highly complex and/or sensitive workplace investigations and case management
- Key skills and experience required _
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent and extensive professional experience in employee and industrial relations management functions in a medium to large organisation
- Sound knowledge of legislative and regulative requirements relating to Human Resources and ER/IR management
- Knowledge of relevant legislation e.g., workplace relations act, unfair dismissal laws, EEO and anti-discrimination legislation, OHS etc
- Demonstrated experience in providing expert technical and specialised strategic ER/IR advice at a senior level
- Ability to develop, maintain and manage positive internal and external relationships to gain co-operation with all stakeholders involved
- Proven verbal and written communication skills, strong negotiation skills and strong interpersonal skills
