Reporting to the Payroll Lead Synergy is currently seeking a Payroll Officer to support the operation of payroll to ensure timely and accurate production of the payroll, driving a positive employee experience, and supporting organisational performance.
We’re looking for inspiring people who will be able to:
- Ensure payroll obligations are met for Synergy payroll/s following compliant and robust processes.
- Interpretation of policies, employment contracts, legislative instruments and agreements to ensure correct processing of payroll.
- Advise and support leadership and employees on payroll, policies and industrial agreements.
- Maintenance of payroll systems including contributing to updates and testing as required.
- Ensure regulatory compliance for superannuation and taxation are updated and reported in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated experience in the processing and delivery of payroll services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide advice on policies, employment contracts, legislative instruments and agreements.
- Solutions focussed with a commitment to improving how employees experience their work environment.
- Sound financial skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
