**Role**
We are looking for an Academic Manager to assist the College Director in delivering and maintaining high quality academic operations as well as support teaching staff and students by being active in the areas of professional development, student support and resource development.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead teacher recruitment activities, in collaboration with the College Director
- Ensure new academic staff are inducted, in collaboration with the College Director
- Coordinate teacher professional development program to ensure academic staff are effectively supported and developed
- With the Student Services team, manage and plan the timetable for academic and ELICOS classes
- Manage and plan the exam period and manage the grade ratification and finalisation processes
- Manage the Student Learning Centre and resources
- Ensure student academic progression and performance is closely monitored. Manage the ‘student at risk’ process
- Comply with company policies and procedures including WHS legislation requirements
- Being a productive member of the Kaplan team by displaying the Company values through your day-to-day role

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Experience in educational management, team leading and teacher training
- Understanding of legislation and regulations governing our industry
- Excellent organisational skills, verbal and written communication
- Ability to coach, mentor, lead and motivate others
- Intellectual and operational flexibility
- Excellent computer literacy
- Has a valid Working with Children Check or willing to secure a WWCC clearance
