**About The role**:
As a Teaching Academic Lecturer in the Academic Capability Development team in the Faculty of Business and Law, your role will involve designing and implementing innovative resources and programs to enhance academic skills development for undergraduate and postgraduate students. As part of a small team of teaching academics, you will play a key role in the Faculty’s initiatives to enhance academic English language proficiency of our undergraduate and postgraduate students. Additionally, you will develop resources and programs that strengthen the integration of assessment, feedback, and academic integrity skills. You will work closely with discipline academics to design curriculum and assessments to improve students’ academic skills development in their courses. By leveraging your understanding of pedagogical theory, contemporary best practices, and recent experiences, you will analyse, propose solutions for, and evaluate complex challenges in learning and teaching.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and deliver high-quality courses in relevant academic disciplines.
- Develop course materials and assessment tasks that meet the needs of students and are aligned with the learning objectives of the respective programs.
- Provide academic guidance and support to students across multiple modes and platforms.
- Work with discipline academics to develop curriculum and teaching resources to improve academic skills development for students, including academic English language proficiency.
- Identify opportunities for iSoLT (Innovation and Scholarship of Learning and Teaching) and engage with other stakeholders to understand and deliver iSoLT outcomes.

**_There may be a requirement to teach after hours as some of our teaching occurs in the evenings, and this is when MBA and other PG courses are taught._**

Located within the Academic Capability Development team in the Faculty Operations area of the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL), we are seeking a full-time teaching academic to join our team.

**Selection Criteria**:

- A doctoral qualification in a relevant academic discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and to develop innovative and high-quality course materials for face-to-face and online modes
- A strong track record of achievement and commitment to excellence in delivering learning experiences across multiple modes and platforms.
- A demonstrated capacity to undertake Innovation and Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (iSoLT).
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders from diverse community/industry backgrounds.
- Willingness to take on leadership roles in Learning and Teaching.
