**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
The Civic and CEO Office is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Assistant. The role is fast paced and diverse, providing secretarial and executive administrative assistance to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to support them in their role. Through providing efficient and professional service, this role is a key facilitator in ensuring the needs of internal and external stakeholders are responded to, and community expectations are met.
You will support the CEO with a full range of high-level administrative and executive functions, while playing a key role in the department’s achievement of Council policies, improved service levels and corporate standards. You will be proactive in anticipating the needs of the CEO, be organised and display good judgment, initiative, and diplomacy skills.
**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE**:
- An appropriate tertiary qualification with some relevant experience or through lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience in providing dedicated administrative and secretarial support to a senior executive within a complex organisation.
- Experience in the development of office procedures and the use of processes to evaluate, monitor and track actions and follow-up of issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with an ability to discuss and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated commitment to the provision of excellent customer service.
- The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
- The ability to liaise in a professional manner across all levels of Council and to maintain confidentiality of information as appropriate.
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible and have a commitment to continuous improvement and have the ability to review procedures and systems and to recommend changes where appropriate.
- Strong organisational skills, the ability to successfully manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.
