**THE ROLE**
Reporting to the Director, Disability and NDIS Reform, the Manager will lead the development and implementation of an integrated approach to disability reform that includes the whole of Victorian Government response to the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability (Disability Royal Commission) and the NDIS Review, including negotiations on Foundational Supports. Engagement with people with lived experience and their families and carers, the disability community and sector will be fundamental to developing the design, planning and implementation of Victoria's forward disability reform agenda. You will lead and manage a team responsible for providing advice to Government on national disability reform, working both across the Victorian Government and with the Commonwealth, states and territories.
You are passionate about leading transformative change in disability policy and have the leadership skills to manage a high performing team in a fast paced environment and work with a diverse set of stakeholders. Applicants should possess strong leadership and people management skills drawing on experience leading in complex policy environments, and work in highly collaborative ways, including co-production of documents.
**ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE**
- Lead the development and delivery of the joint Commonwealth and state and territory and the whole of Victorian Government responses to the Disability Royal Commission and the forthcoming response to the NDIS Review, including Foundational Supports, through the provision of policy advice, stakeholder engagement, budget development and implementation planning.
- Develop positions and influence national disability reform to achieve departmental and Victoria's objectives and in line with the views of Victorian people with disability and community expectations.
- Forge strong connections across Victorian Government and with Commonwealth, States and external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
