We are a modern Australian law firm with a leading reputation. We focus on exceptional service, operational excellence and being at the forefront of employee experience. We work closely with Australian and international businesses, organisations and governments.
**About the Role**
As the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will play a key role in our People & Culture team in helping shape the future of our firm by identifying and securing the best talent in the industry. Reporting to our Head of Talent Acquisition, this newly created position will provide you with the opportunity to manage the full recruitment lifecycle for our Sydney office and also support strategic sourcing initiatives at a national level. With a strong focus on increasing direct hiring, this is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with partners and hiring managers to identify and attract key talent to the firm.
Further responsibilities will include:
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders, offering advice on best practice and market insights.
- Work closely with the people & culture business partners to align recruitment efforts with broader talent development strategies.
- Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives throughout the recruitment process.
- Drive employer branding and position Maddocks as an employer of choice within the legal industry.
- Contribute to wider people & culture projects including process improvements and implementing new systems.
- Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to find, attract and manage top talent.
**About You**
Ideally you will have experience recruiting in the legal industry but most importantly you will be passionate about direct recruitment and have a demonstrated track record in recruiting top talent. You’ll also have the following skills and experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role in a professional services firm or from an agency and looking for a great in-house role.
- Strong understanding of recruitment strategies, sourcing channels, and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach with a passion for building strong, diverse teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative team where you will be well-supported in your career development and have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the future of our firm.
**Why join Maddocks?**
Maddocks is simply a great place to do great work. We foster a culture of collaboration, learning and engagement where you will experience:
**A diverse and inclusive workplace**: We have been named an employer of Choice for Gender Equality by the Workforce Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) every year since 2004 along with being named a Silver Employer at the Australian Workplace Equality Index's 2024 LGBTQ Inclusion Awards. We promote diversity internally through our Maddocks Gender Equality Network, Maddocks CALD, Maddocks Disability Inclusion and Maddocks Pride groups.
**Career Development**: Learn and develop through structured learning and development programs at each stage of your career and study support programs.
**Community involvement**: give back to the communities in which we operate through our thriving pro bono and grants programs and staff volunteering initiatives.
**Work flexibly**: work in a hybrid way with part of your week in the office and support to set up your home office.
**Wellbeing & Benefits**: access to up to 20 weeks paid parental leave, discounted gym memberships & health insurance, salary continuance insurance, Employee Assistance Program and parents and carers wellbeing programs.
