**About the role**

Here at RACQ Insurance we have an exciting brand-new role within our Product and Distribution team. The Manager Portfolio Performance will be responsible for driving the end-to-end performance of RACQ’s insurance Home and Niche Portfolios. This will be achieved by developing a deep understanding of portfolio performance, and the competitive landscape, shaping portfolio strategy and identifying and executing improvement initiatives.

Reporting to the General Manager of Product and Distribution, this role is heavily focused on our Home and Niche portfolio of products including Home, Contents, Landlord and Pet, on the end-to-end value chain of the insurance portfolio. You will have up to three direct reports, including technical portfolio specialists to assist with analysis and reporting for the portfolio. It will be a strong mix of analysis and strategic stakeholder engagement across the group, with a strong emphasis on regular portfolio reporting, providing insights and recommendations. Your key duties will include:

- Understanding and driving the performance of the RACQ portfolio, including the financial performance, product strategy and positioning in the market. Establishing and maintaining regular reporting and review rhythms to ensure oversight and engagement across the value chain
- Identifying emerging issues and opportunities in the RACQ portfolio through engagement with stakeholders within RACQ, the monitoring of industry developments in Australia and abroad, and the identification of trends in RACQ’s internal data
- Supporting Executive and Management teams, providing oversight of portfolio performance with regular reporting on key metrics, including portfolio action being taken.
- Ensuring the portfolio strategy sustainability serves the long-term interests of our members.

**About you**
- Experience within a product portfolio environment, specifically focussed on insurance, including knowledge across insurance divisions including claims, underwriting, and pricing.
- At least five to seven years relevant experience
- Experience in presenting outcomes of analysis and influencing sound decision making among peers and leaders
- Excellent interpersonal skills including influential stakeholder engagement
- An understanding of common insurance metrics and drivers of portfolio performance
- Strong reporting and analytical skills.
- Experience managing a high performing team
