**The Role**
Our team provides workforce management resources to support a professional, highly skilled and committed commercial workforce. We recognise that it is the quality and depth of our workforce that delivers on current business objectives and improves business performance to position us for the future.
Through active stakeholder engagement we implement a range of attraction, engagement, upskilling and retention strategies for Commercial Division. We provide commercial and procurement professionalisation to develop careers and build Defence people capability facilitating learning through experience, exposure and education opportunities to build and sustain commercial acumen across Defence.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Defence's approach to workforce planning and learning and development within Commercial Division. A high degree of engagement with a diverse stakeholder cohort is required to shape the commercial workforce and ensure that the organisation has the right people, with the right skills at the right time to deliver capability to the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
The EL 1 Workforce Planning Manager role is to:
- Develop and implement targeted Commercial attraction and retention strategies to support workforce management. This includes; strategic recruitment and induction, health and wellbeing, reward and recognition, and employee feedback mechanisms
- Identify and implement strategies to mitigate workforce risks and develop materials and documentation to support effective workforce management.
- Liaise with stakeholders to obtain workforce planning intelligence to support the development of workforce resources.
- Build and sustain relationships with a range of stakeholders across Defence and other organisations to achieve outcomes.
- Analyse workforce data and understand and monitor the impact of changes to the workforce over the short, medium and long term.
