**What You Will Be Doing**

The Acute Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit (2 West) is a 29 bed unit based at the Frankston Hospital. 2 West supports people experiencing an acute phase of mental illness or mental health challenges until such time that the person can be treated effectively in a community based mental health setting.
Our Allied Health Assistants form a dynamic team, with a focus on the provision of quality care to assist consumers in achieving their goals. The Allied Health Assistant on the Acute Adult Mental Health in-patient unit, is a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, assisting with non-clinical tasks and client care under the guidance of the treating care team.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Allied Health Assistant Certificate IV or equivalent including allied health students who have completed minimum third year of Bachelor degree (or equivalent)
- Previous clinical experience including student placements
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
