The Occupational Therapy department are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible individuals to join our team.

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

Occupational Therapists are clinicians with great interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude, they are experts in assessments, treatment planning, innovative care provision and client centred practice.

The Allied Health Assistants are key contributors to the work of OTs. The AHAs work with groups and individuals to enable clients to achieve their goals. They also play a role in the smooth running of the overall streams and assist with administrative and non-clinical work as delegated by the Allied Health team.

Each AHA is empowered to work within the structure of the duties delegated by the Allied Health team. They are encouraged to be self-directed and autonomous with appropriate aspects of their work and use their skills to improve patient care. Austin Health staff work in a number of key practice areas including inpatient rehabilitation, acute services, hand therapy and aged care specialisations.
