Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

The Austin Health** Dietetic Department** is a vibrant and fast paced environment. The Dietetic streams are made up of clinicians with great interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude. The Dietitians at Austin are experts in medical nutrition therapy and have expertise across a range of clinical specialties.

The Allied Health Assistant plays an integral role in supporting the Dietitians. Their role will be to undertake nutrition screening, implement low risk interventions, monitor nutrition interventions and assist in discharge education and planning to ensure ongoing high-quality care.

Each AHA is empowered to work within the structure of the duties delegated by the Dietitian. They are encouraged to be self-directed and autonomous with appropriate aspects of their work and use their skills to improve patient care.

The AHA we are looking for thinks outside the box, uses initiative to solve problems and improve services and has outstanding teamwork skills.
