Greater Melbourne Allied Health Assistant

**We have a flexible position for an Allied Health Assistant in Greater Melbourne and surrounds to help with home care package clients - NO NDIS/ NO TAC/ NO WORKCOVER patients.**
A little about Us:
Our team is made up of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Myotherapists, and Allied Health Assistants. We provide in-home care to the elderly population to help them stay in their home and out of aged care facilities.
Your Role:
You will be sent a referal to meet with a client, if you accept the referal you'll then schedule an appointment at your mutual convenience (including weekends if you wish).
An Initial Assessment of the client will have been made by one of our Physios, you will be paid $67.25 to complete 30 minute Follow-up appointments to supervise the client in their exercises as directed by the Physio and if you are able to demonstrate positive interactions with the clients your number of referrals will increase so you can see as many or as little clients as you prefer.
Within the appointments you would:
- Help the client work towards their goals to ensure they keep themselves fit and active, to assist their independence.
- Supervise exercises as appropriate.
- Raise any concerns you may have with the supervising Physio
What we require:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work autonomously.
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Compassionate and client-centred approach.
- a minimum one year of experience working with clients - a recent graduate will be considered.
- Full drivers licence and own roadworthy vehicle
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Professional Indemnity Insurance.
You will be paid every 2 weeks as a contractor so you will need an ABN.

Pay: $130.00 per hour
