**THE ROLE**

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and skilled Allied Health Assistant with an interest in Mental Health to provide high-quality support of patients on the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit and at PARC. In this role you will work within a strong multidisciplinary team assisting the SW team in carrying out one to one intervention with patients in addition to the organization and facilitation of housing and support around discharge planning. This role will include provision of support as required, up to 2 days to consumers who are “stepping down” from the IPU Psychiatric ward and/or “stepping up” from the Community Mental health teams into PARC.

The overall objective of the position is to provide therapy support services to individuals and groups as directed by the Allied Health Professional/s with which you are working.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Certificate IV as an Allied Health Assistant or other relevant health-related qualification
- Victorian Driver’s License is essential
- Experience in providing support services to individuals and groups as directed by Allied Health Professionals
- Previous experience, paid or voluntary in Mental Health and housing is highly desirable.
- Interest in working in Mental Health is essential.
- Current driver’s licence is **essential**:

- Availability to work full time and be part of a 7 day rosta is highly desirable.
