Digital Product Owner - Website

What are we looking for?

A unique opportunity to join our National Marketing team as the central owner of the Slater and Gordon Lawyers website. A hybrid role based in our Melbourne office, you will be responsible for balancing strategic marketing thinking, user experience insights and technical knowledge to set and deliver the website strategy to improve UX and commercial returns from the site.

The role will work closely with the Marketing Acquisition team and lead the prioritisation and delivery of all website activity spanning IA, creative excellence, SEO and CRO activities. The role will function as the company’s web expert, advising senior leaders on current best practices and innovation opportunities. You will also consult on the delivery of IT, Marketing and Client Experience strategic road maps.

A large proportion of the role will also have you responsible for the following:
**SEO / CRO Activity**:

- Lead the development and delivery of SEO strategy and improvements
- Develop the quarterly CRO optimisation plan
- Identify opportunities for IA, user experience, journey and content improvements
- Work closely with the Content and Communications Writer and the acquisition team to act on these opportunities
- Monitor and improve creative quality of site content to project the brand’s positioning

**Website Management**:

- Lead the engagement with the web agency and other partners such as the IT team to prioritise and deliver web projects and optimisations
- Lead the website and platform strategy
- Keep abreast of new technologies and industry standards

**People Leadership**:

- Lead, coach and develop one direct report
- Stakeholder Management:

- Maintain relationships at senior leader level as the respected website expert

What will you bring?

Skills and attributes required to continue your success in this role will be:

- Tertiary qualification in digital marketing, marketing or an IT related field
- At least 10+ years digital marketing experience (client or agency)
- Prior experience in a similar role as a website owner
- Strong understanding of SEO optimisation and CMS capabilities
- Exposure leading and developing digital teams
- A results driven work style
- Strong customer focus
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Strong technical ability
- Team player
