We are seeking a Site Inspector to work with the sales team our clients to provide valuable and timely site reports to support the sales process.
**About the opportunity**
The Site Inspector reports to the Sales Director and is part of the Wilson Homes sales team. In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be to conduct initial inspections of our clients’ land as part of our 8-step pre-construction phase. Whilst the job is predominantly located in the south of the state there will be a requirement to travel to the north of the state from time to time.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting building sites to identify service locations and any issues with the installation of plumbing, electrical and equipment for compliance with relevant codes
- Take levels of the proposed building site and documenting the inspection details
- Inspect sites for compliance with zoning, flood, and other environmental requirements in liaison with Sales Team
- Collaborates with sales and estimating teams to support production of initial quote to client
- Meet customers pertaining to building issues from time to time
- Install on site signs
- Some basic manual work on site and in our warehouse and head office
**About you**
To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of Wilson Homes along with:
- Considerable knowledge of building construction principles and techniques, with preferred experience in residential structural, flood, and zoning plan reviews
- Skills in both written and oral communication for effective expression and clarity
- Able to read and interpret site plans, technical reports, surveys, elevation certificates, and other forms of property and project related documents
- The ability to recognize and explain verbally and in writing when plans, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and related documents are not in conformance with specific codes, ordinances, and standard
- Strong customer focus and the ability to meet required timelines
