Production Team Leader

Production Team Leader is to assist as a hands-on role to ensure daily production and delivery targets are met. The responsibilities also include the supervision and leadership to all production staff and to monitor and inspect all products are tested, packed and dispatched to stated quality standards and efficiencies.

Production Team Leader reports to the Production Supervisor and has the responsibility, authority and accountability for:

- Balance production to achieve daily targets and provide feedback to Production Supervisor.
- Informing Logistics Staff about parts and products required for the production to eliminate any downtime.
- Ensuring orders are processed and dispatched in an efficient manner.
- Ongoing commitment to accurately recording work orders to ensure production orders processed match work orders entered on a daily basis.
- With Production Supervisor identifying, developing and implementing methods to improve efficiencies and remove process bottlenecks throughout production.
- Continually monitoring and rotating production staff to ensure they are skilled and capable to perform all the required tasks as per skills matrix.
- Identifying and informing Production Supervisor on any training requirements for production staff to perform their tasks with maximum efficiencies.
- Developing a ‘do it right first time quality attitude’ and encouraging feedback from production staff.
- Reporting and following up all production maintenance and breakdown issues to Operations Specialist.
- Complying with all environmental, operational, quality & safety requirements outlined in work instructions.
- Maintaining a proper system of testing results recording & reporting as per Itron procedures/standards and customer specifications.
- Maintenance of good housekeeping in the product testing area.
- Ensuring latest product information and testing procedures are available with production staff.
- Informing Production Supervisor about non-conforming product and implementing recommendations for acceptance, rework or rejection.
- Ensuring testing/product handling equipment is operated efficiently and safely.
- Supporting staff in production, inspection and testing during increases in production, staff leave and absenteeism.
- Training new and existing production staff according to work instructions, when required.
- Adhering to all Itron policies and report all suspicious information security-related activity or events to Group IT.
- Maintaining confidentiality of Itron and customer data, including post-termination.

**b) Authorities of Production Team Leader**:

- Assigning / Rotation of workforce as required.
- Stopping any production process which is believed to adversely affect quality of other processes, or of deliverable product and to inform Production Supervisor.

**c) Accountabilities of Production Team Leader**:

- Product traceability & result reporting.
- Safe operation of testing equipment.
- Housekeeping.
