**About the Role**
Join the Department of Parliamentary Services as a Payroll Officer and play a key role in supporting the Parliament of Victoria. Working as part of a collaborative payroll team, you will be responsible for administering, preparing, and calculating payroll processing activities to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform end-to-end payroll processing activities, ensuring accurate data input of timesheets, leave, allowances, deductions, and other entitlements.
- Monitor and resolve issues within the time and attendance system, including adjusting workflows and escalating matters where appropriate.
- Ensure payroll processes align with internal policies, enterprise agreements, relevant legislation, and compliance obligations.
- Provide clear and accurate advice to employees and managers on payroll matters such as salaries, entitlements and leave accruals.

You are an experienced payroll professional with a commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused services. You bring:
- Proven expertise in payroll administration, including use of payroll and time and attendance systems, and a strong record of delivering accurate and timely results with mínimal supervision.
- A collaborative approach to working in a team, with a focus on knowledge sharing, peer support, and continuous improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and provide confidential, client-focused service.
- Advanced computer literacy, particularly in data analysis and using payroll systems to extract data, maintain accuracy, and support decision-making.
