Payroll Officer required on a temporary, full time basis within a State Government body.

Our client is a Government Agency looking for a full time, Payroll Officer within their CBD office for a 6 month assignment
**Your new role**
Your role will be responsible for the processing of the fortnightly alongside the payroll team. The role also involves providing portfolio wide advice on entitlements and remuneration issues.
Your duties will include:
- Processing and peer checking of the fortnightly payroll and undertake the more complex transactions relating to employment conditions and benefits.
- Provide quality customer service through effective communication, offering timely responses to a range of queries and flexible problem solving.
- Assist managers and employees to better understand employment conditions and benefits and relevant payroll matters.
- Support the Senior Payroll Officer to ensure payroll production and outputs meet timelines.
- Assist in regularly contributing to developing better systems and practices across payroll.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role you will need to have demonstrated experience using Chris21 for payroll processing and the ability to enter, modify and extract data accurately to assist with the processing.
**What you'll get in return**
This job presents an opportunity to obtain a temporary 6 month assignment within a State Government body. The hourly rate is between $46-$55 an hour + Super, depending on experience. Flexible working conditions will be available.
