This organisation is a reputable company that has been operating in Australia for over 20 years. It is known as one of Melbourne's leading civil contractors. They are looking for experienced Accounts Payable officers to join their collaborative team.

**Your new role**
This role is responsible for ensuring allocated accounts are processed to meet all accounts payable targets and deadlines. This role also has an element of project admin involved which will involve working with a range of stakeholders. Some of your duties may include:

- Verifying the accuracy of invoices against dockets and statements
- Contributing to the Accounts Payable function by processing creditor payments, matching invoices to
purchase orders, verifying goods received (quantity and price), investigating discrepancies, and data
entry.
- Reconciling bank statements by comparing statements with the general leger and identifying and escalating any discrepancies.
- Compiling and generating reports and verify as required.
- Performing other general accounting support tasks as directed by the AP/AR Manager.
- Providing administrative support to other business functions as required.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this position you will need:

- To be an Australian citizen/ Permanent resident
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competency in Microsoft suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Proven ability to enter data accurately.
- Construction industry experience desired.

**What you'll get in return**
