**Payroll Administrator**

**The opportunity**
Silverchain are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join the team on a fixed term part time basis, to cover a parental leave contract. This is a key role in assisting with the maintenance of all employee information and data in relation to the payroll process.
The role will initially need to come into the office for approximately 2 weeks for training purposes, after this time, we offer a hybrid working environment where you can work from home two days, and then from the office two days. Our head office is conveniently located in Osborne Park, and we have parking available.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to get their foot in the door with a wonderful not-for-profit organisation, doing excellent things within the community.
Working day requirements are Monday, Tuesday and Friday with the additional day being either a Wednesday or a Thursday.
**Key responsibilities**
The major accountabilities for the role of Payroll Administrator are:
- Being responsible for all new employee set-up. Time management and attention to detail is key here.
- Ensuring that all employee records are up to date and maintained.
- Processing employee data in a timely manner, relating to hours worked.
- Ensuring that all Payroll queries are answered promptly and escalating where required.
- Managing and completing employee verification and reporting requests.
- Responsible for all employee terminations within the system, and actioning these in a timely manner to ensure they are finalised correctly and promptly so that all offboarding is a smooth process.
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and obtained the following qualifications:
- 1-2 years payroll experience in maintaining large volume payroll processing and ensure accurate information is recorded.
- Ability to analysis and problem-solve.
- Ability to research and respond to queries in an effective and timely manner.
- Well-developed communications skills (written, verbal and listening) to respond appropriately to queries and provide advice to Business Unit Manager and Employees.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks.
