They are a property development and funds management company with a National presence. Specialising in commercial, retail, healthcare and industrial property developments, they have a long-term property ownership approach.

They have been operating for over ten years and have a healthy balance sheet that will see their property portfolio likely double in the coming years.

Based in South Yarra, the Melbourne office has just moved into its new home - featuring amazing views from the office and rooftop. You will be close to all the action, restaurants and public transport (though you do have your car park provided)

You will work in a close-knit, collaborative team led by the Development Director. He is an open communicator, generous in sharing his knowledge and time - and he wants you to succeed

**What will you be doing -**
As an Assistant Development Manager, you will be required to assist in generating new property development transactions across Melbourne and mixed asset classes.
- Build and maintain relationships with key tenants and agents to identify future market needs.
- Identify and secure development sites for acquisition through direct sourcing or relationships with agents.
- Negotiate key transaction terms with landowners and tenants
- Review relevant due diligence, using the Delivery Division for assistance when required
- Develop initial project feasibility cashflows and budgets
- Liaise with legal consultants to produce all documents for execution.

This is a perfect role for you if you want to move away from the competitive agency setup while further adding value to this business and learning about the development cycle.
- Bachelors degrees in property, commerce, or evqivelant
- Solid and proven understanding of putting a deal together
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Growth mindset - a hunger to learn and develop your understanding and skills in acquisitions and sales
- Ability to prioritise and work efficiently in, at times, a high-pressure environment
- Experience with agreements to lease/leases, purchase and sale contracts
- Ability to "read the room" with various external stakeholders, inclusive of tenants, consultants and JV partners
- IT skills in Mircosoft Excel, RP data, Nearmaps and understanding of council zoning.
